Title: Investigating Public on Transport and Mobility Behaviours: A Systemic and Gender Approach in Ilorin, Nigeria

 Overview: This research aim to explore public transport dynamics and mobility behaviors in Ilorin, Nigeria, highlighting the influence of gender. It addresses the challenges faced in transportation, including the reliance on informal options like tricycles and motorcycles, and examines regional disparities in transport systems.

 Key Areas of Focus:

Mobility Behaviors: The study analyzes how socioeconomic status, infrastructure, and cultural norms shape mobility patterns, identifying barriers like restricted routes and traffic congestion.

Gender Perspectives: It highlights gender disparities in transport access, noting that women often face additional challenges related to safety and social norms, which affect their travel behaviors.

Systemic Approach: The research advocates for integrated transport solutions and gender-sensitive policies to improve accessibility for all users, particularly vulnerable groups.

Community Engagement: It emphasizes the importance of involving local communities in transport planning to address unique mobility challenges.

Technological Factors: The rise of ride-hailing services is discussed as a factor influencing transport access, especially among younger demographics.

Future Research Directions: The study calls for comprehensive data collection and interdisciplinary approaches to better understand transport issues.

Methodology: A mixed-methods approach will be employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather insights on mobility patterns, gender-specific needs, and community experiences.
